Is it realistic for a kid to go for a ponitac grand prix GTP as his first car?

first of all, i never said an age, so i never "violated any community guidelines" now, i want to get either a grand am gt, or a grand prix GTP. Obviously the 240 horse supercharged gtp is way more appealing, but do you think that it would be realistic (at all) for a kid to have it as his first car? this is from many different points, such as maintenance, insurance, gas, purchase price, and even finding any for sale in a certain area by where i might live? considering these things, is a gtp really even worth daydreeaming about, or would (frankly) i be lucky to even get a grand am gt? thanks!
