How to tell my best friend i'm gay and in love with him?

I would find out his views on gay people if you don't already know that and if they are good and he's OK with it then just go ahead and tell him your gay but I wouldn't tell him your in love with him at the same time I think that would be allot for him to take in, wait a while and then ease into telling him, yes it will probably make things a bit awkward but if you are good friends then I'm sure you can look past it and he will be fine. Who knows if your lucky maybe he might feel the same way (Hate to say it but unlikely because this is not a fairytale) but Good luck with everything though :)
