When did you last hear an atheist promise people eternal torture?

I've never heard an atheist promise eternal torture. However, I have had lots of religious bigots talk this kind of trash to me. They seem to think the world owes them some kind of special respects, because they believe what they do. Personally, I don't care what a person believes, but when they get all high and mighty with their beliefs and put others down I get kinda ticked off. I mean, who gave them the right to be so self-righteous? They need to get a clue. Religion has a long history of abusive behavior towards those who don't agree, in one way or another. Yeah, I'm fed up with the bigots and the hypocrites. NO, atheists do NOT tell people they will suffer eternal torture and damnation - only RELIGIOUS people do!!!!!!! Oh, and they LIE too!!!!!
